[Safety Guidelines Before Boarding]
*Passengers of junior high school age and older are considered adults, while passengers of elementary school age are considered children.
-
Both adults and children may ride the ROPESTER. When a child rides the gondola lift, they must be accompanied by an adult who has reviewed and shared the Safety Guidelines and who can provide appropriate supervision and support. If it is determined that it is unsafe for you to ride, you may be denied boarding to ensure the safety of all passengers.
-
When children ride the ROPESTER, they must be accompanied by an equal number of adults.
-
The ROPESTER offers a choice between a one-way ride from Togendai Station to Owakudani Station, or a round-trip ride from Togendai Station to Owakudani Station and back (exiting the gondola lift mid-ride is not permitted). We will confirm your choice on the day of your ride. In either instance, seats cannot be changed once you have boarded.
-
Children under the age of 5 (pre-elementary school age) are not permitted to ride the ROPESTER.

-
Passengers who may require assistance in the event of an emergency are not permitted to ride.

For one-way rides, up to one item of baggage per passenger, excluding valuables, will be transported on the subsequent gondola. Passengers taking a round-trip ride are requested to store their baggage in the station lockers as directed by staff. (Locker fees are the responsibility of the passenger.)
